Personal History
Watching Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael race has inspired me to take the challenge of racing. During my teenage years, I raced my dirt bike (2011 KX125) in fairground races, AMA District 11 and then got an ATV to race. Transforming the ATV to be race ready took some time. In 2012, the ATV modifications were accomplished and I began racing in Mid Ohio Valley Hare Scramble (MOVHS). I jumped into the “A Class” with some friends and progressed throughout the year finishing 4th overall in my class. The 2013 season started and I continued to race in MOVHS but I also added Ohio Cross Country Racing (OXCR) in “First Year Racer” category to become more confident and increase my skills. The MOVHS organization experienced water damage to their office mid-way through the series causing them to cancel the remaining races.
My biggest accomplishment during the MOVHS in 2012 was at the Tribute to Blackwater 100 held in Elizabeth, WV. This was a 5 hour race, 10 miles per lap. I finished 4th in my class while enduring the complication of my radiator overheating during the race.
Aside from racing, I enjoy bowling, fishing, golfing, hunting and most of all spending time with my family. Prior to my current position in shipping at Scotts Miracle Gro in Marysville, Ohio I worked at Honda Marysville in the custom weld department as well as on the assembly line making Accords, Acuras, etc. I am dedicated and a hard worker. I leave it all on the track and strive to excel in all races.
Riding Goals
For the 2015 OXCR Series, I planning to stay in the Novice ATV (25 & up) because I feel it will continue to help my skill to be in a more competitive and push me harder ro accomplish more.
