Personal History

Started racing motocross in 1974 in the mini-class.  Over the next 9 years, I moved up to race the 125, 250 and Open semi-pro class.  I parked the boots in 1984 after my blown knee became too damaged to continue. Got married and raised a family. 2004 bought a new bike and started back racing.  Have been racing the 20+, 35+, 40+, and 45+ class.

Riding Goals

Would like to continue my racing and prepare myself to attempt the Florida winter am series.  Hopefully, on to the Amateur National series after that.

Competitive Highlights

I started racing in 1974. Started out on a XR75.  During my two years of racing the mini classes, I won the Florida State title in the 85 stock, 85 modified, open Sr mini twice.  1975 raced the World Mini Grand Prix and finished 6th in the 85 and 105 classes.  From 1975 to 1984, I raced the 125, 250 and open pro classes.  Consistent top 5 finisher in all classes the Annual AMA district 9 race series. Raced one of the first amateur supercross races in the Astrodome and Atlanta stadium.  Finishing in top 5 in both the finals in the 125 and open expert classes. Was selected as one of three riders to race for team Florida in 1977. Won the Florida 250 expert qualifiers for the Amateur National Championship. Finish 15th in the regional qualifier with a broken wrist.
