Personal History

I Got my first dirtbike when I was 12, it was a TTR-125LE, and began riding in national parks in MD and WV. Soon I got an XR 80 and my dad would ride the 125 with me in the parks and on camping trips. as I got older my interest faded and we sold my bikes. the summer after junior year in highschool I expressed interest in it again. My father said I would have to pay for it myself if I wanted to get back into, but as a 16 year old I couldn't. My interest only grew from that point and after my senior year, my father said if I still showed a ot of interest by the next summer he would buy me a bike.

By the next summer (2013)  my interest was raging. He finally broke down and we got a 2005 CRF 250R off of craigslist. I got all my gear and started making ruts and berms in our backyard. I began going to Blue Diamond MX and a friends property in MD.

This past summer (2014) I began going to Blue Diamond regularly, and focused my attention on improving my MX skills. After some crashes I realized I couldn't just figure out the proper techniques, I had to learn them. So I began watching videos, reading articles, and examining the top riders to understand their body positioning on different obstacles. Once I started this I began progressing much faster, and started to see lots of improvement and boosted confidence on the bike.

I am currently attending school at Virginia Tech and hold a part time Job. I do my best to go ride the Jeep trails at nearby mountain lake as often as possible, and plan on a trip to Lake Sugar Tree MX soon. This summer I plan to start entering a few local races, and hopefully be a contender.
