Personal History
My name is Grayson McClung, I’m 14 years old and I have been riding a dirt bike since December of 2020. I watched my uncle Tyler Delaney race earlier that year and instantly knew I wanted to race also. It took some convincing to get my parents to agree but I was persistent and they bought me my first bike for Christmas that year. I spent some time learning the basics on that bike which was a Yamaha YZ85. I spent a few months learning how to ride and the basics before officially starting training with my trainer Dean Dyess at Orlando MX in March of 2021. I train 2-3 nights a week and started racing in the Florida Series in May 2021 racing the 85cc beginner and 85cc 9-13 jr mini classes.
My dad upgraded my bike to a 2020 KTM 85 in September and I instantly felt more confidence in my riding. The KTM has so much more power that I feel I needed to continue to improve my skills and achieve my goals.
I am now in my 4th year of racing and have learned and improved so much. I average around 35 races a year between 2 series in Florida. I also have raced Mini Os, RCSX at Daytona a couple times and traveled to Red Bud for the Amateur days at the July Pro National. In 2025 I will start racing qualifiers in hopes of making it to Loretta Lynn’s.
I want to also add that I am an honor roll student in school. I have received a presidential award for my consistent high grades.
Riding Goals
My riding goals are to build on my first year of racing and training. I will be racing the full season of the Florida Series and also will be traveling to run some national level races. I also will race qualifiers with the goal of making it to Loretta Lynn’s National.

Loretta Lynn’s southeast area qualifier (with hopes of making it to regionals and the Ranch)
Amateur race at the Red Bud pro national in July
Baja Brawl
Mini O’s
And possibly Freestone spring a ding and Ricky Carmichael Daytona race
I also will be attending the Motoplayground Camp Boom Diggity in the summer
