Aug 2 2015

Over the weekend I went to Aztec Family Raceway and raced in the 65cc 7-11, 65cc 10-11, and Youth beginner.  In the 65cc open class (7-11), the track was very muddy from the downpours the night before. I crashed three times in the mud and ended up getting 20th.  In the 65cc 10-11 class  I had one tip over and got 8th.  In the Youth Beginner class I got 6th.  In Moto 2 of the 65cc open class I got 17th (17th overall).  In Moto 2 of the 65cc 10-11 class I got 7th (7th overall).  Moto 2 in the Youth Beginner class I got 6th (6th overall).  It was a good weekend.

I wanted to thank Sun Enterprise,Twin Air, O'Neal, ProTaper, FMF, Smith Optics, Atlas Brace Technologies, ProAction Rocky Mountain, Works Connection, and Vertex Pistons.

(65cc open, 65cc 10-11, and Youth Sport)  Recently I went to Two Rivers Racing over the weekend with my mom, dad, and brother.  In Moto 1 of the 65cc 10-11 class, I ended up getting 7th.  On the first lap I was going in for a pass when the kid suddenly cuts to the left and plows me off the track.  Luckily I just staled, but it took a while to get it started.  Moto 1 of the 65cc I got 14th.  In Moto 1 of the Youth Beginner I rode my new 2014 KX 85.  I finished in 11th.

Wildrat Promotions (65cc 10-11)  On Saturday my dad and I went to Wildrat Raceway in our toy hauler.  I had recently gotten a 2014 KX 85.  I practiced on that  and then practiced on my 2011 KTM 65.  The track was great!  After a little while, we lined up on the gate.  I was third to the first corner, but I  tucked the front .  I ended up getting 7th place in the first Moto.  The second Moto was the same except for the crash, and I got 7th.  I also got 7th overall.

I wanted to thank Sun Enterprise,Twin Air, O'Neal, ProTaper, FMF, Smith Optics, Atlas Brace Technologies, ProAction Rocky Mountain, and Works Connection.  Although it was a rough start, I think this will be a good year.

I recently went to the final race day of the season, and the final D25 race of the season at Sweney Cycle Park.  I skipped practice and only rode on Sunday.  Practice was great, and so were the track conditions.  Moto 1 of the 65cc 10-11 class was not too good.  The bike stalled off the start, and it took a little wile to get it started.  On a turn that comes out of a hill, the bike stalled.  I couldn't get it started, and neither could the people on the track.  Eventually we got it started and I completed the race.  I placed 13th.  Moto 1 of the 65cc open class was much better.  The track was getting better as it got more and more packed in.  I placed 22nd.  Moto 2 of the 65cc 10-11 class was awesome.  I didn't crash which was good and I was happy about that.  I placed 11th, and 12th overall.  Moto 2 of the 65cc open class was great too.  The track was getting pretty roughed up though.  I placed 22nd, and overall placed 22nd.  I also want to thank all my sponsors Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises for an amazing racing season, all the learning experiences, and I hope to get the same sponsors and maybe more.

I recently went to IMI Motorsports Complex.  The track was muddy half of the day.  practice was bad with pile ups and tip overs.  Unfortunately my friend Garrett Kash broke his Kawasaki and we let him ride my KTM 65cc 2009, He wasn't used to it and he looped it off the start.  On the second step up he looped it again and jumped off the bike.  He broke his femur.  Moto 1 of the 65cc 10-11 class was hard and muddy. I placed 6th.  Moto 1 of the 65cc open class was still kind of muddy, but good.  I placed 12th.  Moto 2 of the 65cc 10-11 wasn't very muddy and very few tip overs.  I placed 7th and 7th overall.  Moto 2 of the 65cc open class was good and fun.  I placed 12th and overall I placed 12th.I also want to thank all my sponsors Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises, and hope Garrett gets better soon.

I recently went to Mile High MX track.  The track was good and I got to try out the new toy hauler my dad bought.  I rode my KTM 65cc 2011 for three of the practices and my KTM 65cc 2009 for two.  The first Moto of the 65cc 10-11 class I did good with one or two tip overs and placed 7th.  Moto 1 of the 65cc open class my day was cut short due to a crash in the first turn.  I also want to thank all my sponsors Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises.

Aug 17 2014

I recently  went to Aztec Family Raceway to race in the 65cc open and 65cc 10-11 classes.  The day before practice a big storm came through and the track was a mess the next day. I skipped the first two practices.  After that the track was still a mess.  The first moto in the 65cc 10-11 class was not a split gate because there were only three kids there including me.  I crashed off of the gate due to a big rut. The track was better than practice but still wet.  Moto 1 of the 65cc open class was the best rid I had all weekend. But that was the last moto I did since we got rained out.  I also want to thank all my sponsors Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises.

Thunder Valley Raceway (65cc 10-11 class and 65cc open class)

A few days ago I went to Thunder Valley Raceway for a two day weekend at the track.  Moto 1 of the 65cc 10-11 class was a great race, and I thought I did pretty good.  Moto 1 of the 65cc open class was good, but I got into a deep rut and tipped over.  Other than that The race was good and I had a great recovery from the crash.  After all the first Motos the track crew groomed the track.  Moto 2 of the 65cc 10-11 class was even better then Moto 1. I got a very good 2nd place start and held a pretty good position throughout the Moto.  Moto 2 of the 65cc open class didn't go my way.  I get pretty tired toward the end of the race day, but I am going to start trying to build on my endurance.  In Moto 2 I crashed 3 times and felt ready to go home, but in the long run All that really mattered to me was that I had fun and I had an awesome race day.  I also want to thank all my sponsors (Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises.)

Aztec Raceway (65cc 10-11 yrs & 65cc open)

I recently went to Aztec Family Raceway for an RMXA race in two classes 65cc 10-11 and 65cc open.  I personally think I did very well for my first Motocross race of the season.  The first Moto in the 65cc 10-11 class was a double gate and went well.  The second Moto was a little bit more tricky.  The ruts were deeper and all the 65cc racers went at the same time.  I crashed once but recovered well.  The second 65cc 10-11 class race was another double gate and was a pretty good race.  The last Moto of the day wasn't too good.  I normally get tired towards the end of the day so I ended up crashing 2 times, but in the long run it was an awesome day of racing. I also want to thank all my sponsors (Twin Air, Smith Optics, FMF Racing, O'neal, Pro Taper, Atlas Brace Technologies, and Sun Enterprises.)

My dad recently purchased a 2011 KTM 65SX for me.  I rode yesterday at IMI Motorsports Park in Colorado.  I rode my 2009 and 2011 to get them set up as close as possible to each other.  I feel more comfortable on the 2009 right now but they are very similar.  I look forward to riding more this year on both bikes and getting faster.
