Personal History

My name is Grany Herring and i live in Elizabeth colorado. I have been riding ever since i was 5 years old and i started racing at age 14. Riding and racing is my passion and i couldent see my life without it. I have tried all of the other sports and none of them can compare to this one,i actoually apply myself with racing and iam commited to staying healthy and fast. Its a demanding sport but its worth it when you do really good, its like no other feeling im the world its awsome. I have lived in Elizabeth colorado for many years, its a really small town but int kinda nice too iam not much of a city person. I graduated high school in elizabeth in 2006 and i couldent be happier cause iam just not much of a school person i would rather work hard to be able to own nice things like my truck, bike, and my new trailer. Working does defenitly get old sometimes and it its a rude awakening when you are used to going to school all day then you make the transition to work, its hard to get adjusted but you do and it just takes time. God has blessed me with a great family that consists of my mom and dad, brother, sister in law, and my girlfriend whom i have been with for almost 5 years. Life is hard sometimes but i quickly realized its alot harder without god in your life, its simply unbearable and you cant live right and be happy without him.

Riding Goals

In the up coming year of 2009 i plan to race alot more than i did in 08. I am going to compete in the 2009 harescramble series in the amatuer class. Its a grueling 2 hour race on a 7 mile course but i think i will do really good.

Also in 09 ill race some in the motorcross series as well in the 250B class which is a very competitive class and the riders are quick but so am i so ill be able to hold my own. My goal is to place in the top 5 every race i do and i think that is a good reasonable goal.

Practice is very important to me so my goal is to do it more. Right now i practice twice a week and i hope to be able to do it three times a week. I also have a goal to make more time to work out and become more fit.

Competitive Highlights

Man i have alot of competitive highlights more than i can remember. But there is one that sticks in my head. It was a couple of years ago at IMI erie colorado i was racing in the 125c class  and it had rained the night before my race on sunday. sunday morining i woke up to a track that was in about two feet of mud and i knew from that point on that i wasent going to do well at all. First moto i placed fifth out of twenty five and the secound moto i placed third so  i was pleased with my over all performance considering the track conditions. From that day on i realized to always keep positive and keep confident and everything will work out just fine.
