Personal History

Gabriel Goncalves #97 & #647, and Daniel Goncalves #68, are passionate motocross riders with a lifelong love for the sport. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and of Portuguese descent, the brothers' journey into motocross began at a young age when they first laid eyes on the thrilling world of dirt bikes. Gabriel Goncalves purchased his first bike at the age of 15, and helped his younger brother Daniel earn and save money to buy a Honda CRF 50 at the age of 6 last year. Gabriel mentored his younger brother to learn to ride, and together they push each other to improve. Both their natural talent and determination have quickly propelled them into the competitive scene in local races at Burnt River MX, and they have immersed themselves in the sport.

Riding Goals

We ride because motocross is more than just a sport to us — it's a way of life passed down from our family in Portugal. The adrenaline rush, the thrill of competition, and the camaraderie among riders create an experience unlike any other. Riding challenges my brother and me both mentally and physically, pushing us to constantly improve and strive for greatness.

Goals for This Year:

  • Secure a top-three finish in the local races in each of our classes.
  • Improve our overall speed and consistency on the track.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop innovative strategies for race day.
  • Engage with fans and promote the sport through social media and community events.
  • Mentor a new rider into the racing scene

Goals for Next Year:

  • Compete in provincial-level competitions and showcase our skills.
  • Secure additional sponsorship to support our training and racing efforts.
  • Mentor younger riders and give back to the motocross community.
  • Partner with other motorcycle associations and communities.
  • Continue to push our limits and chase our dreams of becoming professional motocross riders.
  • Grow our team with new riders to build the brand and encourage kids to ride.
