Personal History

My name is Glendan Tupis I am currently 14 years old and I started riding dirt bikes when I was 8. I currently ride a 2009 Yamaha YZ250f and a 2007 Suzuki DRZ400 I started off just riding around my property but soon wanted to try motocross. I enjoyed motocross very much up but got interested in trying enduro and cross country.

I am a well spoken above average high school student. I enjoy helping younger kids in all activities, especially motorcycling. As well as riding I am also a leader in training at a summer adventure camp.

In my spare time I enjoy : mountain biking, dirt jumping, building enduro trails and working on my bike. On top of all this I work about 20 hours a week to help my dad with racing costs.

Riding Goals

Last year in my first year of riding enduro and cross country I placed 2nd overall out of 33 in the 16 and under enduro class, and in cross country I placed 14th overall out of 53 in the cross country open class.

If it hadn't been for bike problems late in the season top ten was within my reach. I have been working all winter to get in better physical condition to succeed in my goal of improving my standings.

I would also like to try endurocross.

As a result of meeting and riding with some class act role models becoming a future champion and ambassador for the sport is something that I would like to aspire to.

Competitive Highlights

Getting second place in my first year of riding enduro was definitely a highlight, but my biggest highlight was meeting and riding with Chris Birch, professional hard enduro racer. I got the chance to be part of a group ride with him but I also got the greatest luck of spending a day one on one with him. He taught me many new techniques that have helped a lot. He also showed me what it was like to be a great ambassador of the sport and one day I hope to represent the sport as well as he does.
