Personal History

I started riding when I was 11, and was racing at 14.  I made it to 125 expert by 16 and moved to 250 expert from there.  I continued to race both classes and quit racing when I was 22 and joined the Air Force.  I have a wife and two children, 17 and 21.  I am very active, living in Colorado.  I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, climbing, snow shoeing, skiing, and will learn to snowboard this year.  I also work on motorcycles as a side business.  My goal is to transform my side business into a full time motorcycle service shop when I retire from my full time job with the government in 8 years.

I am extremely fortunate to have been able to resume racing 6 years ago and feel I will continue to do so for a long time.

Riding Goals

My # 1 goal for this year is to stay healthy, fit and injury free.  I am planning on racing the entire SRAC (Colorado) MX series and would like to finish 1st for the season.  I would also like to participate in the White Bros Vet National Series at Glen Helen again and finish in the top 5 for +40 and +45 expert.

I would like to develop a relationship with some quality sponsors as it will not only help me, but will also help promote products from potential sponsors because of my side business.

Competitive Highlights

I raced in New Mexico from 1974 to 1982 and consistently finished in the top 5 for 125 and 250 expert from 1978 - 1982.  After a 19 year break due to family comittments and a career in the Air Force, I began racing again at age 41 and quickly moved from Senior Novice to "B" and then to Expert, or "A" in the first year.  I've been racing Senior A ever since and have finished in the top 10 consistently, in addition to winning a few, except during the few times I was injured.  I recently traveled to Glen Helen Raceway for the White Bros Vet Nationals and finished in the top 10 on both days (8 motos) for +40 and +45 expert.
