Personal History
Gavin is 7 yrs. old and attends Lincoln Elementary. He is a very social young boy. He loves talking to just about anyone who will listen. He always enjoys making new friends at the track.
Gavin started riding at the age of 5. His 1st bike was a Razor electric dirt bike. Three months later he got his first "real" bike, a Yamaha PW50. In May of 2015, Gavin received his "DREAM BIKE", a KTM 50 SXS. He has been racing since Jan. 2015. It has been an exciting first year for Gavin. He says that riding is what he wants to do when he grows up. Hopefully for him, that "Dream" will come true.
Riding Goals
This year Gavin moves up to the 7-8 50 class. He is riding anytime our busy schedules allow. One goal is to train as hard as he can to become the best rider he can be. He will ride in the local Alabama State Championship Series, and also try the area qualifiers if his training goes well. Gavin is also registered for the KTM Jr Supercross. He is hoping to get that call for a once in a lifetime opportunity. These goals are subje t to change as the year progresses. We will keep you up to date.
Update: Gavin was chosen for the KJSC in St. Louis on April 165th. One goal for 2016 accomplished. Now the next goal is a podium finish in St. Louis.
Competitive Highlights
Gavin started racing in January of 2015. He competed in the last 4 events of the Alabama AX series. In March of 2015, he started racing in the Alabama State Championship Series. Gavin raced in 13 events in the 4-6 entry class where he ended the season with 8 podiums and 1 win. In the 50 4-6 class, Gavin raced the first couple of months on his PW50 and then started the transition on to the KTM. This was a big step for him, but he was able to finish the season with 4 podiums and 3rd overall.
