Personal History
My name is Garrett Rednour, I'm 13 years old and I love to race!!!
I started riding a Yamaha Blaster ATV when I was 5 and then got my first Yamaha PW 50 when I turned 7 and I haven't looked back since. I didn't start riding competetively until the beginning of the 2007 season on a new KX 85, so I'm just now starting to catch up for all the lost time on the track, but I'm doing it in a big way right now.
I started practicing Karate when I was 5 and then MMA when I was 10. Some of my other hobbies are basketball and paintball and I love to wakeboard and tube it out on the lake when I'm not at the MotoX track!!!
Riding Goals
My goals for 2009 are real simple, to practice and ride as hard as I possibly can without getting injured and hopefully place in the top 5 riders in the State of KY in my division. My parents are making major adjustments in our personal lives to allow me to travel and compete at the higher levels, so I'm doing everything possible to be a great rider and leader in the sport. I will be attending several MotoX camps this summer along with having personal coaching with several of the local Pro's to help me step up my game all around. Right now my strengths are being aggressive and jumping, but I'm looking to develop my Hole Shot and cornering alot this season.
Competitive Highlights
Well, for me it's all about the competition of WINNING!!! Several of the races that I've won or placed high in the lineup were due to keeping my focus on the guy in front of me and just hunting him down, turn by turn until I eventually catch'em in a tight corner or just fly by'em down the stretch!
