Personal History
My name is Garrett Montgomery. I have been riding since I was five years old. My first dirt bike was a CRF50. When I out grew that I got a CRF70. I only rode my 70 for a year before I found a old cheap 1994 KX80. It was a pretty fast bike but was always braking down. I now have a nice 2008 YZ85. Im starting to get into racing motocross, I love the sport. It's all I love to do, I even quit playing football my 8th grade year so I could focus on getting laps in on the track. I race local at a track called Territorial. I like the track , but would like to start to travel to other tracks to race. Nobody in my family has ever raced dirt bikes but me, so this is a new experience for all of us. My dad grew up riding quads but never dirt bikes. I would love to get some sponsers so it could help with the expense it takes to race.
Riding Goals
My riding goals are probably to improve on my jumping and just getting faster laps in. I take each jump a step at a time and jump it until I clear it . I want to get into racing alot more and start to travel the state more and even other states. I need to work on just no fear, its good to have a little fear but sometimes having too much can hold you back. There is a big table top at my local track that I want to just pin it, to win it , and clear it just by facing my fear.
Competitive Highlights
I haven't had much competitive races, I mainly do this small Winter Series at my local track. I do alot of practices to, but not much racing yet. I want to start racing alot more.
