Personal History

I was born and raised on a Macadamia Nut farm in South Africa. This is where my passion for dirt bikes began. I was introduced to Harescramble, Enduro and Off-road (Desert) racing in 1999. In 2000, I started racing the National Enduro series which was amazing as I got to travel around the country and race a wide variety of terrain. In 2002, I won the Kwa-Zulu Natal 200cc state championship, and achieved a 6th in the National Mini Roof Enduro in Lesotho.
During the 2003 National Roof of Africa event in Lesotho, I injured my knee and was unable to finish the event. In 2004, I decided to pursue a college degree in engineering and immigrated to the United States. Halfway through my studies, I meet my amazing wife in Fort Lauderdale. We now have an 11 year old son and we spend almost every weekend camping at different tracks around Florida.
In 2012, I won the FTR (Florida Trail Riders) 30 Plus motocross championship. In 2019 my son Tyden and I won both our classes in the I4MX series. I am extremely proud of Tyden as it was his first racing series. He has however painted a target on my back and strives to beat his dad next.

Riding Goals

2021 is the start of new and bigger goals. Both Tyden and I are going to race the 2021 I4MX series with the addition of some bigger races. I want to race a Loretta Lynne qualifier, as well as the Amateur Daytona Supercross.
