Personal History

Hello my name is Freya Jones.I’m 11 and love doing motocross, this is something I am very passionate about. I got my first bike in November 2021 and never looked back!! This is my first year racing and I was currently running 7th out of 29 in the Lucas Oil Summer Championship but am no longer continuing this as the tracks wasn’t great and my parents felt it was holding me back from riding to my full potential.I am doing the Dursley South West Challenge Shield running 13th out of 42 and 5th out of the 9 girls. Mum and dad said this would be good for me as they also have a ladies Championship where the girls are scored separately. My happy place is at the track with my friends. I previously did  training with Josh Spinks and am now training Carl Jones and  Lauren May Collingwood GirlsThat Moto.

October 2023- I have had an amazing expereince for my first year racing! The last round for Durlsey i placed 8th overall out of 33 and 3rd out of the girls so i was on the podium that is my best result to date!! I will be doing some the Lucas Oil Winter Champs through the winter and a training programme with Carl Jones. I am going to Spain in February 2024 for training which i cant wait for. The championship I am doing is Dursley again.

I finished 12th overall with Durlsey and 5th overall out of the girls, I was also awarded the most improved rider of the year so got another trophy!

I am currently running in 11th in the Lucas Oil Winter Championship. The Championship has finished now and i finished 6th overall.

Riding Goals

My goals is to finish top 20 in the Dursley championship and to always give 100% effort to be the best I can be.

October 2023- I finished 12th overall in the Dursley Chmapionship & 5th overall out of the girls.

My goals for 2024 are to finish top 8 in my championship & top 3 in the Girls Nationals.

Competitive Highlights

I have been working hard on my starts and nearly had my first hole shot. My best position in a race is 7th but I was pushing for 5th until I had a fall that cost me a few places.

October 2023- I have had a few races where i have been getting top 5 round the first corner, still pushing to get a top 5 finish in a race.

December 2023- I was awared the most improved rider of the year at my presentation! Ifinished 6th in my first Winter Championship.
