Personal History

Fiona was born on June 11, 2008 and lives in Burketon, Ontario. She has been racing since the age of 5. Currently a member of the Amateur Motocross of Ontario (AMO) / Maguire’s Motocross Racing Series (MMRS), a provincial club with several tracks across southern and southeastern Ontario. She rides both a TC50 and CR65 Husqvarna. At the end of the 2017 season, Fiona took home a first place and a number of second place trophies. Fiona is one of the few female riders in her age group making her a highly visible racer. At the 2015 Walton Trans Can she made history by being the first female rider to place first in a non-ladies class. Having a spirited personality, she is a natural performer and is comfortable in the spotlight. At home, her interests include animals, reading, movies and music. She enjoys school, is well-liked by her classmates and teachers and is active in a variety of school clubs.

Riding Goals

Fiona is focused on increasing her skills and becoming a positive role model for female riders. She enjoys competing and giving the boys a run for their money, so to speak.

This past season, she applied and was accepted to participate in the Toronto Supercross as a KTM JSX rider held in March 2017. She was very excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity and although she was one of two female riders, her competitive spirit and desire to do her best help define her attitude towards racing alongside the boys. During the two practice sessions, she placed within the top three out of 15 riders. Unfortunately, she got caught up in the 'whoops' section and lost a few seconds, which landed her in eighth position. Despite this setback, it was still an incredible experience for her, especially with all the people cheering for her!

In the 2018 season, she is looking forward to riding her 65cc in the Girls 9-16 and 65cc 7-9 classes. She will continue to be a member of AMO/MMRS and compete in all the provincial series they offer. She will also keep an eye on the National events being held in either Ontario and/or Quebec.
