Personal History
My name is Brekken Allen, I’m 10 years old, and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I’m currently in 4th grade, and this will be my third year racing motocross. When I’m not on the track, I love playing hockey, spending time with my dad at the track, and camping all over Alaska with my family.
Living in Alaska comes with some big challenges as a motocross racer. With long, harsh winters and only a short summer season, I don’t get to ride nearly as much as racers in the lower 48. While some kids can train year-round, I have to make the most of every ride during our short window of warm weather. The cold and snow mean that motocross isn’t just a sport, it’s something I have to work extra hard for. Whether it’s practicing indoors when I can or spending the winter staying in shape through hockey, I do everything I can to be ready for race season when the snow finally melts.
Even with the challenges, motocross is where I feel free. There’s nothing like the feeling of twisting the throttle, hitting a jump, and pushing myself to go faster every time I ride. Racing isn’t just about competition for me, it’s about the love of speed, the thrill of the track, and the determination to keep improving, no matter the obstacles.
I’m proud to be an Alaskan motocross racer, and I can’t wait to see what this season brings!
