Personal History
My name is Ethan Rinehart and I am 17 years old. I live in Mineral Wells, West Virginia and I race in the Extreme Dirt Series, which is a harescramle series. I am a senior at Parkersburg South High School and have played soccer all three years. I made Varsity my sophmore year (the first year i played) and got alot of playing time. My junior year i started every game and played alot! Now this past year was my best year. I started every game and was the leading scorer of the team. In doing this i got honorable mention all-state and a first team all-conference award.
I also attend Sams Creek Baptist Church and am a member and song leader there. My whole family basically goes there so its really nice.
Riding Goals
Now my plans for after graduation is working with my dad full time at a garage door company till October which is when i go to college. I'm going to college in Cleveland, Ohio at Ohio Technical College. My course there is going to be the Powersports Institute which teaches me to work on jet-ski's, atv's, all motorcycles, and side-by-sides. My career goal is to be a dirt bike mechanic for a professional racing team. Motorcycles are my life and i eat, breath, and sleep them. Its jus my passion and all I want to do.
Competitive Highlights
Well like i said i played soccer, and its a very competitve game, so i guess i am pretty competitive. I jus hate to lose and when i do i dont take it well.
This years racing has been awesome! I'm currently 3rd in points in the 200cc class. I have raced 3 races and have finished 3rd twice and 4th once. There is alot of good competition so its a challenge but i love it. At my second race i had an amazing experience with a fellow racer. It was the last lap and we were coming out of a woods section onto a huge straight stretch over a hill to a finish. Well i thought i was alone coming out of the woods so i was kinda cruising to the finish. But i look over and this racer is right beside me banging bars with me, so being a racer my first instict was to pin it and get ahead of him. Well i did and we bumped a couple times and finally i pulled from him clear till the finish. Now this guy probably did more laps than me but that was the first time i had been hitting bars with someone and the feeling was awesome to just pull from him!! Its jus things like that make me love it sooooo much.
