Personal History
Born and raised in Palm Springs, CA. Began riding dirt bikes at age 12 with a broken hand. First bike was a 1983 Honda xl185 and grew from there. Was not born in a family that raced but rode together on trails and off-road recreationally. I inherited a modified 2006 wr450 when I was 15 and enjoyed that until was family had to sell it to pay off debts. Joined the U.S. Army in 2010 and ended up at Fort Bragg, NC where I deployed shortly after.
Eventually, I purchased a 2004 YZ250 in 2013 and unfortunately it was stolen a day later and after that incident I put riding on hold for a while. After several injuries form the military I exited the Army and moved back to Southern California. After struggling through my injuries and while going to college my brother suggested I go back to riding to find myself. I purchased a 2000 YZ250 and began riding enduro and began relearning the basics again. I found my passion back and I continued to ride and learn how to wrench as well. Local tracks reignited the racing I used to enjoy. After getting married and graduating from college I moved to the East Coast where I now reside in Virginia looking to continue my passion and grow as a rider.
Riding Goals
Recently moved to Northern Virginia and looking into getting into some Moto and looking for tracks (MX), freeriding areas and hare scrambles / enduro events to participate in as well. Purchased an older trials bike (2001 Scorpa SY250) that I want to compete in some trials events and learn more bike skills. Joined VetMX and VCHSS group as well and looking to do at least 15 events a year spread between enduro, freeride, motos, hare scrambles etc.
Competitive Highlights
Lots of freeriding and hard enduro style non competitive riding (Reche Canyon, Malcolm Smith trails, Beaumont) along with several dozen practice day laps at local tracks - Glen Helen / Pala / Milestone (R.I.P.)
