Personal History
When I was 5 my dad bought me an XR50. It was my passion to ride and I loved being at the track but my dad only had time to take me once or twice a year. At the age of 16 I decided I wanted to pursue my passion for motocross and, at the time, I’d been working at McDonald’s for a couple years and had saved most of my earnings. With some help from the local dealership (Belleville Sport and Lawn) and my savings I bought a brand new RM-Z 250 in 2009. For the first year my mom let my brother and I borrow her truck to go to local MMRS club races every weekend.
The following year (2010) I raced club races during the spring and after a moderately successful spring series I decided to race the women’s pro national series.
After a successful 2010 year, I spent the early months of 2011 training in Florida and planned to come back to Canada with a new attitude to win. I won the season opener at Gopher Dunes on April 17th, 2011 and the rest of the season looked to be promising. However, despite my hard work in the off season I seemed to come up short all year with bike problems and a gnarly crash at the Walton Amateur National Championship. 2011 was far from what I had planned to make it but we all know that’s racing and I learned to take the bad with good and love what I’m doing no matter what! Can’t wait to get back riding!
