Personal History
I started racing when I was 14 and raced almost every weekend with the help of my parents until I was about 18. This was when the economy crashed, my mom got layed off, and my racing slowed down. I had to pay for everything myself. I decided I needed my college education so I went to school, worked part time, and road whenever I could afford it. Slowly but surely over the years I was able to move up to the pro class. The years went by and I could only afford to practice just enough to keep my skills up for the day I went back to racing. I recently graduated college and decided to continue my dream of racing pro motocross that has lingered in the back of my mind all these years. I have raced about 6 AMA Pro/Am races this year and plan and doing more the rest of this year.
Riding Goals
I will continue to do races this year until I get my pro license (hopefully by the end of this year) while working full time. I want to do some California Supercross and Motocross Nationals next year. I think I would be a great ambassador for a motocross company and would be greatfull to have any support for my dream of being the best rider I can be.
Competitive Highlights
My highlight has been racing in the pro/am class after not racing for about 5 years and being competitive in the class. My will and determination to practice hard over the years has allowed me to do this. I grabbed the holeshot and lead a Pro/Am race for 2 laps until arm pump kicked in and I couldn't hold on anymore. I've worked on this by practicing with more intensity and doing 30 minute motos minimum. I have definitely improved on this and my lap times have showed.
