Personal History
I come from a small town in Ohio where motocross is very prominent. Just a few miles from Ohio International Raceway where Pro Motocross rider Dave Hand facilitated motocross events. My first bike was at age 5 and first race at age 7. My childhood friends and I still ride together today at age 32, and although mostly for recreational purposes, I am very avidly into the sport. I raced competitively from age 7 till 17 when I went off to college. While at school, my dirt bike stayed with me as it always has, and after settling into another professional career, I now found more time in my life to continue to compete and ride regularly through out the year. Most of my racing over the last few years has been locally, but I love doing long weekend trips with the old friends to out of state events and hitting up all the pro AMA tracks for open practice.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for this year are to open a motocross training school. I have trained under many other professional riders growing up and still today work with Trever Vines at his TV Land track. I find much joy in helping the youngsters and parents in the sport on education about support and practicing good riding habits as well as parenting tips. Some of my other personal riding goals for this year are to make it to at least 10 national events to watch the Pro's and ride open practices. My long term goals are to stay healthy and still be riding when I am 70 years of age.
Competitive Highlights
Most of my competitive highlights are from 10 plus years ago in my young amateur days racing full seasons in the CRA which is now the OMA in Ohio. From fist place finishes to 5th place overalls on seasons. Now most of my highlights are in the plus 30 class where a top five finish is common.
