Personal History

Definitely not a one hit wonder! I'm a steamfitter by trade but true competitor at heart. My interests over the past 40 years have gotten me involved in; ATV mx and TT racing, snocross, R/C cars, short course off road trucks and buggies, pit bikes, mountain bikes and my deepest love, dirt bikes. I love to learn! Rarely do I come away from a race day or practice without learning about improvements for my bike, my body or my riding ablities. I am fascinated by the science and physics!

I like to train and keep myself in shape. I believe at an amateur level it is the single best thing that you can do to achieve the results that you desire. Nutrition is obviously a big factor for best performance which is why I am always streamlining my daily intake and recovery foods.

I am a former mixed martial arts fighter also. Trained for 8 years and was an active fighter for nearly two years. MMA was an infatuation for me! However, in my last fight I suffered a retina detachment that has left me mostly blind in my left eye. I had to learn to function in everyday life with partial vision, it was a struggle for the first few years. I eventually recovered and am thriving more so than before the injury. I learned to ride with impared vision and slowly over a few years built back the confidence to compete again!!

Riding Goals

In 2020 I competed in all of the Racer X Vet MX Series races in the midwest. What a great series! At the last race in Byron Illinois I came from behind to win +40 B class which secured the +40 B points championship!! Also that day I finished second overall in +35B which allowed me to finish in the top 5 in season end points in +35B!

My vet class riding buddies and I plan on attending all of the Racer X Vet Series events in 2021. I’m looking to repeat as +40 B points champion and  capture a +35B championship also. I may do a few local mx races also in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota, if I do I will keep my page updated!

In 2018 I started competing in Enduro and downhill mountain bike events that are a part of the Lake Superior Gravity Series. This series is also a great experience that I’m looking to carry on with in 2021! I have a great bike set up and have been honing skills and speed the past few years. All their events in 2020 were cancelled due to the pandemic however so I haven’t been able to show my improvements. I’m excited to see where I stack up now!

As I alluded to in my personal history paragraph, I’m a crossover athlete that participates in various different competitions which allow me many ways to cross promote.

The spring, summer and fall of 2021 is packed full of good times at the race tracks and I am ready!!!
