Personal History
I've been racing since I was about 8. I went to my dad's first Vintage MX race and saw a rider with pink gear on. I asked my dad "hey is that a girl racing dirt bikes?" He said yes and I asked him if I could do it. He said sure you just have to throw your leg over the bike and learn. I out grew my bikes so quick I had to learn to ride a bike with a clutch when I was 9. I haven't looked back yet. I'm very active and I play volleyball, do track and instead of doing basketball this year, I decided to try something new and cheer for basketball to try something new. Even though I play other sports, my only passion is racing.
Riding Goals
I would like to start doing bigger, more challenging tracks in the next year. I plan on practicing anytime it's somewhat warm this winter. I currently ride a 2005 Honda CRF150F and a 2001 Kawasaki KX100 in the MOVMX series in Missouri. My dad was worried about me moving to a 2 stroke bike but he now sees that I am handling it good. I want to do more with the 2 stroke bike but need to work on the suspension and little things. There are not a lot of girls in our series but it seems it is starting to change. I hope they see me and say Wow maybe I can do that. That's how I got started.
I would like to be a great role model for other girls who are thinking about or wanting to ride. The right sponsorship can help me.
Competitive Highlights
I got first in points this year on my CRF150F. A great achievement of mine is a few races back when I beat an old rival (who now happens to be a good friend of mine ironically). In the first moto I beat her by 23 seconds. I got first and she got second. In the second moto I had a 30 second lead on her and slid out in a turn. I picked up my bike and still finished with an 8 second lead on her. I got first again and she got second. I've had a countless number of strangers come up to me to congratulate me and if I'm changed out of my gear, they ask if I was "the girl with the long hair who was tearing it up today" and when I say I was they tell me that I did awesome. I usually am racing against the boys and when I win sometimes that does not go over very good. You see my hair is really long and now everyone knows "Lulu just beat you". lol
