Personal History
Hello my name is Elizabeth Lyzenga, I am 16 years old i started racing in august of 2017 I got introduced into riding at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer camp. I was originally there volunteering as a cook for that camp then i started watching the boys ride and listening to the pastor and felt as if God was calling me to ride so I decided to get on a bike and try it out. I’m the beginning I was scared on how people would view me being a girl on the track but that longer I rode the more it became about getting faster and faster, I hated that my brother was faster then me so i started training harder and hard meaning going to the gym every day, watching videos on how to get faster and attending every particle i could. In the year 2018 I decided to race. That year i placed 3rd overall in the women’s class out of 10 people. This year i plan to place First and to attend every race unfortunately last year i was not able to attend all the races due to injuries and family problems. This year I’ve been training harder and will exceed my goals.
Riding Goals
My goal as a ride is to place first over all in the women’s call this year and to place in the top 5 in schoolboy. I plan to attend every race and practice this season and work hard to get faster. My goal is to race at the loretta lynn’s at the age 18 and i will continue to workout and get stronger and faster to exceed that goal.
Competitive Highlights
One of my competitive highlights would be beating my brother in several races last year and place omg top 3 in my class last year
