Personal History

My name is Elijah Kay, I go by Eli. I am 6’0 and 175 lbs. I took a long break from racing after a serious, career ending crash prepping for Loretta Lynn’s in 2013. Since then, I enlisted in the military as a helicopter crew chief and then became an Apache pilot in the army. I have been married for 9 years and have two boys. I am finally back on a bike after a 9 year break and will be racing in the 2023 season. I will be aboard a 2022 Kawasaki KX450 and a 2023 Kawasaki KX250.

Riding Goals

My main riding goal for 2023 is to get my feel back for racing. I want to dive in and feel those pre-race jitters and relearn how to control the adrenaline that is racing, see where my fitness is and grow from there. I will be racing the AMA TriState MX Series in Tennessee this year. I will be racing in the 250/450 Novice class. By 2024, my fitness and riding will mapped out and ready to compete for the top step on the podium.

Competitive Highlights

I would say my competitive highlight was winning the Texas two stroke championship and qualifying for Loretta’s in 2011 and 2012.
