Personal History
My name is Ed Cucca. I work as an accountant for a wholesale toy company. I live in Warwick, RI and have a 2 year old son. I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 12 years old and just recently started racing competitively. I am a member of Central Cycle club in Central Village, CT and try to get out and ride at least a few times each week. I currently ride a 2007 Honda CRF450 but am looking to hopefully upgrade to a 2012 Kawasaki KXF450 in the near future.
Riding Goals
My goals for 2012 is to earn enough promotional points in the NESC to become an intermediate racer. I currently have 18 promotional points and need 12 more points to move to the next level. I plan to race the spring series to accomplish this and ride as much as possible during the week to make myself better. After moving to the next level, my goal is to ride the 30+B and 35+B classes in the fall series and finish in the top 10 of each race.
Competitive Highlights
My compettitive highlights are all from 2011. In 2011, I raced the NESC Spring series. I raced the 30+C and 35+C classes and won the championship in both classes. I also won the ironman award for both classes. These were the goals I set for myself at the beginning of 2011 and I was lucky enough to accomplish them and had a ton of fun doing it. I am looking for 2012 to be a successful year as well!
