Personal History
Easton is 9 years old and has been racing since he was only 4. The first 3 years were on mini-quads only and in 2010 started racing bikes. His passion for motocross only grew after his first time on a bike. His first year was full of lessons and sometimes bad luck. Easton eats, breaths, and sleeps motocross. He has a personality that is one of a kind, on and off the track. Every track we go to, he makes new friends and helps anyone he can. He is hard to miss on the track with his bright orange mohawk, his superman cape flying behind him and his aggressive riding style. He gives %100 every time and will trade a little paint with anyone who gets close enough, yet after the race, you will be his best friend in his eyes. He shows great sportsmanship on and off the track and wants to one day be on the pro tour..........dont they all though.
Riding Goals
This year, we plan to qualify for the NMA Grand National at Norman Oklahoma on our 50 and 65 bikes. We have battled the best at the GNC National, so now its time to do it again in Oklahoma.
Competitive Highlights
Winning the mini-quad series championship in 2010 was a definite high for Easton and for me (his dad and mechanic). He rode hard every moto, every round and had to sometimes battle kids twice his age on machines twice the size of his.
Next was taking 5th overall (50cc 7-8) and 6th overall (50cc Open) in the Lone Star State Championship series on his King Cobra 50 in his first year of racing a bike (also 2010). The year was filled with bike problems, minor wrecks and bad starts but he rode hard and gave it everything he had and finished strong. We hope to get a title win next year.
2012 was a great year for Easton. Our main focus was the Lone Star State Championship Series at Swan MX and Easton ran in 4 classes during the day series and after 9 rounds filled with wrecks and bike problems, he still managed 4 top 5 finishes overall. That was 2 top 5's on his 50 and 2 top 5's on his 65.This has never been done before and we are very proud.
We recently competed in the GNC National at Oak Hill MX and Easton once again stepped up to the challenge. Originally he was just going to go watch his sister compete but he finally insisted on racing his 2007 stock King Cobra 50 in the Open/Mod class. With overwhelming odds and against some of the fastest riders in the country on modded bikes, he managed to battle in his heats and got 11th overall out of 22. The oldest bike besides ours was a 2012 so we are proud of how he did with what he was up against.
