Personal History

My name is dylan weidenhamer i am 18 years old and a live on a farm near deloraine manitoba. I started riding a dirt bike when i was about 8, it was a 1982 suzki ds 80 and i rode it for 5 years. when I was 13 i got my first race bike, which was a 2006 suzuki RM 85. I raced my 85 for 2 years         (2006 - 2007) in 2006 I only did a few races on the circuit that where close to home but enjoyed racing, so in 2007 raced all the tracks on the circuit exept for a couple and did fairly well with some top 10 finishes. The next year I moved up to a Kawasaki 250F and raced the beginer class. I did good in beginer with many top 5 finishes and also a first place and some holeshots. I was moved up to the junior class for the 2009 season, riding a 2009 KX 250F. I had some good finishes in the spring series but didnt make top 5 due to lack of consistancy. In the Fall series the trasmission went on my 250, so i borrowed a KX 450F and tryed the MX-1 junior class. i raced 2 races in this class and in the 2nd race finished 2nd overall. In 2010 I traded my 250 on a 450 and raced the MX-1 junior class in the spring series, i finished with a 2nd place in the series in MX-1 and a 3rd place in MX-3, but also had 1st place finishes in each class in individual races. In the Fall Series of 2010 i had accumulated enough points to be moved up to MX-1 Intermediate. In my first int. race i finished 6th overall, with my best finish 5th overall in pilot mound. I ended up with an 8th overall for the series in intermediate because i only raced 4 out of the 8 races. I have a circuit size practice track in the pasture beside my house and my basement looks like a fitness gym. I workout atleast 4 times a week in the off season and also play hockey, so between the two i keep in pretty good shape. During the race season I ride 2 - 3 times per week as long as the weather and track conditions are rideable and during the busy months of farming when im not done until 10 or 11 at night, i get up at 630 am to ride twice a week and work out 3 times per week.

Riding Goals

For the 2011 season i am riding a 2011 KX 250F and a 2011 KX 450F.

My goals for 2011 are:

-to consistantly finish top 5 overall in both MX-2 intermediate and MX-1 intermediate.

-continue to train and ride 3-4 times per week and keep improving my riding skills and fitness.

-My long term goals are to win an intermediate championship, compete in the Canadian Amature Nationals in Raymond Ab. and by 2014 or sooner have enough intermediate points to be moved up to proand race pro on the manitoba circuit i now compete in. I also plan to race the Canadian Pro national in Morden mb. in 2012 or 2013 depending on my riding level at the time.

Oveall my plans are to continue riding for many years to come, to stay consistant and have some top pro finishes and championships.
