Personal History
We are very excited to learn of the numerous opportunities for sponsorship. I wish we had an impressive resume but what we lack in experience, we excel in drive. Our 8 year old son has been a fanatic dirt bike rider for 4 years. He has owned a dirt bike since age 4 and has begged to upgrade for well over a year. His dream became reality when we recently purchased a 2012 KTM 50sxs. We built a track at home and have been taking him to the Oklahoma Motosports Complex in Norman, OK for practices allowing him to get some experience. Once we feel he is comfortable enough to handle the track in a competitive situation, he will be entered for his first race. Although we are novices, we have no less drive than the weekend warriors competing on many levels. We feel the appropriate gear is essential in his training and will help him prepare for the races. He is learning quickly and would love to compete now but we want to make sure he has adequate experience in the track environment before turning him loose in a real competitive situation. Our goal is to have him in his first race by the end of this year. We have always protected him with a helmet and have only learned of all the multiple levels of braces and protective gear available on the market today. We would love to receive your sponsorship as we proudly travel to local tracks to experience different track conditions and environments. As he gains experience, we will venture out further as the sky is the limit. I would love to share that our son, Dylan Landress "DK Flash 404", excels in his studies and school always comes first. He is doing exceptionally well in 3rd grade at Washington Elementary School in Washington, OK. He was recently named GIFTED and TALENTED and will now get to participate in those events offered through our school. Dylan doesn't play any school sports and dirt bikes have been a lifelong passion. Your sponsorship would thrill him and we would love to utilize the gear you have available. Dylan is training now for his first race. He would like to compete by year end once he gets comfortable with his new 2012 KTM 50sx. He has ridden a Honda 50 for over 4 years and had outgrown it months ago but not knowing enough about his options, we visited the Local National Championship race and he was ready to ride on the spot. We were able to find him a suitable bike with better suspension to help him land the jumps and take the rough terrain. Our challenge was his small stature and finding a bike that he would handle on his own. We found a great fit!
Competitive Highlights
He hasn't competed in the motocross world at this point. Dylan has never participated in school sports. He does show his goat through the local Cloverbud division of the FFA (he can't be in 4H until he turns 9). He has always enjoyed individual sports and was in skateboarding lessons for a year before the local skate park closed down and he no longer had a place to ride in a safe environment. His passion has been dirt bikes and atv's since he was big enough to walk. He presses the limits sometimes and going as fast as possible across our land and finding terraces to jump are his goals when riding at home. His dad built him a track at home to work on basic skills and will continue to expand that has his skill level improves.
