Personal History
My name is Dylan Franklin, I am from New Braunfels, Texas, but I now live in Fort Worth. I am 17 years old and will be 18 in September. I come from a large family of 3 sisters and 1 brother. My parents are divorced and I live with my dad. I just started racing this year in March and had my first race that my father put me in the Novice class instead of beginners, I guess I did pretty well, because I placed fifth overall. I live for motocross.
Riding Goals
This year I plan to race as many races as I can and get better every time. My goal is to get into some National Racing and plan to place at least Number 5. I hope to learn something from every race I compete in so that I can acheive more and get better and closer to reacing my goal.
Competitive Highlights
The only highlight I have so far is my first race on March 29, 2009 at River Valley in Boyd, Texas. From the first Moto out of the gate I was in fifth and worked my way up to third and finished in that place. When we got to the second Moto, out of the gate was in fourth and worked my way up to second. I passed the guy for second place by clearing a triple jump and he only doubled it, so I moved in to second, but came into the corner to fast and slid out, causing my bike to stall. This mistake put me into last place but i managed to work my way up to fifth.
