Personal History
My name is Dustin Gunning. I am 20 years old and race on the power plant of Kawasaki's. I have been in racing motocross since I was 12 years old. I have been supported by my family in every aspect possible to make sure I reach my goals in racing. I attend church on a regular basis and current attending school to become a fulltime firefighter like my father. My racing began at a early age with go-karts. My father and i did this together every weekend. I decided to race motocross and follow my dads footsteps as he race motocross until he was 24. I enjoy the passion of motocross and the friendships I have gained from it. I have traveled all over the country racing with my dad at my side supporting me 100%. ou have reached my goals that I have set out for. I am currently a A rider and ready to do the Ax tour and the Arenacross Tour this winter. The outdoor is about to wind down and its my time to shine in Arenacross. Thank you for all the support that has been given to me so far and I will continue to strive to represent each and every company thats supporting me in each way
Riding Goals
My goals in life is to be the best person representing the sport of motocross on and off the track. Since I started on the mini's I always wanted to race the big boys. I moved up to the 125 class and then the 250 class. I succeeded my goals in those classes and continued to rise to the top and reach my goal. I turned pro at 17 and continued to accomplish goals I have set out for. Its totally a new step forward in meeting my goals as I experience faster and more aggressive riders in other states. My goal for the year 2013 is to make it to Loretta's and complete the top ten in the nationals. I have went on to riding the Kawasaki 250 2 stroke this summer and I am ready to test it on the arenacross circuit.
Competitive Highlights
Mid-America Arenacross Red bud Gatorback Muddy Creek Indian Hills are just a few tracks that I have had the privilage to compete at. I have been running in the top 6 all summer in our area and working to get a national win soon. We have moved to a new house and built a nice practice facility to sharpen the skills needed to compete at this level. I have competed in some National races this year and took a podium at the DuQuion Nationals in October. The summer has been very busy for me riding everyday and racing every weekend. I have finished in the top 5 at almost every race this summer and plan to start arenacross this month. Arenacross tour is my goal this winter to get the podium finish.
