Personal History

Took my first dirt bike ride 2 years ago with pro rider Steve Hatch. He is a neigbor and friend. Alway wanted to ride when I was a kid but the parents would not allow me to have a bike. My cousin Chuck Ballehr is a long time rider both dirt, street & track. He recently moved to Arizona and his love of bikes rekindled my interest too. One ride and I was hooked on trail riding. Was 45 years old the first year I began riding dirt bikes. Started racing the next year in the AMRA series (2007).

Currently ranked 7th out of the 60 something riders in the "C" class in points for the year. Plan to bump myself up to the "B" class for 2008. Currently ride KTM300 but considering other bikes when I buy a new bike.

Love to ride and appreciate the support offered by my sponsors.

MXSPONSOR has been a huge help to me both in making contact with sponsors and teaching me how to professionally manage my sponsorships. THANK YOU MXSPONSOR!

See you on the trails.

Riding Goals

For the 2008 AMRA series of races I plan to move up to the "B" class. Will be switching bikes to ride the Yamaha YZ250 and retireing my trusty 300 to do practice rides and volunteer riding with our BLM and National Forest service. Looking to race all our local races plus two races in Monticello, Utah and one in New Mexico.

Looking forward to trail riding in Monticello, Utah again this year and in Moab, Utah. Would also like to do some more trail riding and dual sport rides around Arizona in the coming year. The KTM 300EXC will be my bike for dual sport riding in the coming year.

My goals are to promote my sponsors, ride safe, have fun and WIN.
