Personal History
My name is Donavan Bush, rider number 211. It all started when I was 3 years old. My father saved up to buy me a bike for christmas. Since then I have not stopped riding and have been closer and closer to my my dream each and every day.
I just recently started racing AMA sanctioned events. In outdoors I race the 250 C Class and College boy, In arenacross I race 250 novice and College Boy, and in Supercross I race SX lites AM. Even though I just recently got back into competing I have finished top 10 in all of my events. This past year, 2011, was a really rough year for me. Between having to work all the time to pay fees and parts with no sponsors to help me financially all the way to injuries. However, I have learned alot this past year and im excited to take what I have learned and take it to the track.
Riding Goals
I am very excited for the upcoming 2012 season. I learned a lot last year and im ready to put what I have learned to the test. I have trained and will train all winter long. I have gained several opportunites with sponsors, Yokohoma Tires, Twin Air, We All Ride clothing, Berma clothing, Vortex, Oneal, Leatt, and Rock River Powersports. I would like to thank them for their support in the upcoming year. I am still looking for more sponsors to help me financially but I would also like to build great business relationships with them. We all know racing gets extremely expensive; From gear to race fees. I am not the best nor am I the fastest but I work hard on and off the track. Sponsors have my back to keep me on the track, I have their back to keep them in their product in stores.
I do plana on attending a training facility this year, most likely South of The Border MX due to financial limitations. I also plan on attending every race in district 13, most of district 29's races, Bad Boys of Arenacross, and several Victory Sports series this year. I am training very hard this winter in order to qualify for Lorettas this year. Also, I would like to attend Mini O's and a few other amateur nationals.
Competitive Highlights
The most funny moment of my career so far was in a Bad Boys of Arenacross event. I was on the last lap of the moto and I had made it up to second place. Around the last turn before the finish my bike cut off. I kicked and kicked but the bike did not want to start. By about the 20th kick I had dropped back to 4th place so I pushed the bike across the finish line to take home 4th.
