Personal History

Have you ever seen a RV 90, I have, not only have I seen one but I grew up riding one from age 9.  Man could that thing cook.  My brother and I would race home every day after school to see who could get to their bike first and away we went.  We would practice our precision corners in the grass field between our house, we would dial in our jumping style over the one foot mole hills through the tress and best of all we would imagine our selves lining up next to the great MC as we would race our school bus along the road... I have come along way since then I am now 30 years old and have one of the nicest bike on the market which I pride myself in taking extreme care of.  To me there is nothing better than the butterflies you get when your class is on deck and then you slowly roll into  your start gate, you look at the guy on the left and on the right and know I gotta get the start on this one.... the 30 second board comes up, then the 5 ..... Braaaap you drop the the clutch and shoot out of there battling for the whole shot, and as you round the first corner your veins are pumping full of adrenaline... there in nothing that beats that feeling.  And that is why I do this.  I race for the love of the sport.

My family and I absolute love the sport, my wife of 8 years is my biggest fan and has never missed a race.  She is the best pit crew a guy could ask for, and my little 11 month boy, gets so excited when he hears the roar of the engine that to get him to sleep sometimes he goes in the back carrier and on the bike for a ride.  To me there is nothing better that the sport of motocross, it take time and dedication, but the rewards the friends and the memories made is priceless.

Riding Goals

My goals this year are to be in the best shape of my life, I have started working with a trainer so that I can be ready for next season,He has got me on a very strict diet and work out schedule.  I also plan to attend a riding school to help hoan in on some of my weak points.  I know that If i put in the time not only  will my goal be to win the overall championship at our wild rose series, but i am determined to win the overall at the Western Canadian Nationals in 2012.

Competitive Highlights

Over the past 8 years I have raced in many events in our local area.  I start out in the beginner class of the wild rose spring series, located in Calgary Alberta and won the championship of that series after which I was bumped up to novice.  That was a great year I was able to battle that series and came out on top as well.   I have also enjoyed many hare scramble series of which I have won the novice year and placed consistently in the top five since moving to intermediate.  I have also had the opportunity to ride at the corner grass enduro track as part of a 5 race series, If you haven't seen that course it defiantly worth a you tube search, that is a sweet course.  I have place 1 st on the first year I attended that event, and since moving up the best I have mastered to this point is a 3rd.  But this year to hope for a better outcome.

Some of the other races I have had to opportunity to attend this year was the Western Canadian Nationals which is held in Raymond, ab and the Washougal Wa nationals.  I was able to come out 3rd overall at WCN which i was super stoked about and at the amateur days at Washougal I placed 10 overall in the intermediate class as unfortunately had some bike trouble. But that all comes with racing and those two races this year were that absolute best memories of the summer.
