Wow, what a hassle!!  Everybody wants money but nobody gives customer support, BUT we finally got it through customs.

Tomorrow we are heading to Marietta to pick up my new quad that I will set up to race with in GA.

It is hard to believe that 2010 is almost over, Christmas is on our door step, and this year we will be celebrating Christmas in Georgia.

This past weekend marked the end of racing in both Namibia and South Africa as the Baard Brothers were taken around the oval track for Dirkie to say good bye to fans.

We are excited to see what the new year holds for us.

After hair pulling moments the last few weeks trying to get the crate ready, dealing with a lot of red tape, my TRX450R is in her crate and on her way to Atlanta USA.

We will arrive in 2 weeks time and while enjoying a wonderful hot summer here at the coast in Namibia, trying to imagine how we are going to deal with a very cold GA.

We are not in 2011 yet but this journey already is a very exciting one!

Working on getting CDL license.  Things are slowly but surely coming together for the first season in GA.

Crate is being put together and packed for the flight to GA.  Time is flying as we head towards December.  Arrival date in Atlanta GA is Sat the 25th of Dec.  Can't believe it is almost time.

Dirkie won the 1st Moto at the opening of the new Olympia Race Track in Windhoek Namibia (Southwest Africa) on Saturday, October 23rd.  He could not complete the 2nd Moto due to damage to his TRX but continued to win the next event, King of the Quads.  He thoroughly enjoyed spending time in Windhoek with fans milling around to see their local hero back from South Africa.

After a fun filled weekend Dirkie returned to his home town, Walvis Bay, to train and prep for his trip to the US in December.

This weekend, October 23rd, is the grand opening of the new Olympia Race Track in Olympia Windhoek, Namibia.

The new track will be hosting the 3rd Round of the Namibian National Motocross Championship on its grand opening weekend and Dirkie Baard has been invited to race and help open the track.Pro ATV 450 Off Road Championship series caused quite a stir in Namibia with several interviews at local newspapers and a TV station.  Fans, family and friends have long anticipated the local Champ’s return from South Africa.

Dirkie is very popular with the racers in Namibia, not just because of his championship status, but because he is very approachable and works with younger racers to give back to the sport that he loves.

Back in Namibia for a well deserved break, but just a short one while prepping for our trip to the US.  Honda Windhoek is giving me a TRX450R that we'll ship over to GA to get there in time for Dirkie's arrival in Atlanta during December.

While the racing season is South Africa is done, there are stilla few races in Namibia that Dirkie will be competing in.
