Personal History
My name is DeWayne Britt born and raised Floridian. I didn’t start riding motocross/dirt bikes until after I graduated high school in 2007. First year I rode 125 beginner class, with little time, at the end of the year was moved up to 125c class. Within the last few months of that year, all my bikes were stolen so it put a halt on my riding. The following year I received a bike for my birthday from my grandparents, a gift but a gift I would have to pay back, but I couldn’t pass up the help. Rode about four to five months and unfortunately broke my left ankle. After that things got hard, no help from family so I had to take a long time off. Fifteen years later... I’m thirty four, father of two boys, who both all ready love the sport as much as I do, with one heck of a wife to gift me my YZ250 2022 as my wedding present. Since then I have raced at Dade City Motorcross in the 250c class, Open C Class and the thirty plus (30+) class.
Riding Goals
Future goals for this coming up 2024 year is to have enough sponser, and backing to make it to a few of the quilifier races, to make my way to loretta lynns.
Competitive Highlights
Coming back after fifteen years, being able to place, keep up and push past the future riders of this time. Nothing beats the adrenaline at the starting line waiting on the gates to drop, the best feeling in the (gate drop) is hearing your name echoed within the stadium speakers "425 Britt with another hole shot to start the night off". It most definitely feels nice to be able to be twice as old as most of the competitive riders, compete against them and win after such a long time away.
