Personal History
My name is Devon Bournonville, I grew up at the tracks watching my dad and little brother race. I always wanted to race but never had the opportunity. Growing up the only thing that really kept me close with my dad was our shared love for motocross. When I was 15 my mom finally got me a crf150r to race supermini! I had big plans and goals with that, that year I only raced once and got a second place. I was too big to ride the following year so I traded for a 250r. As I grew older I started working a lot and would only go to the practice tracks every so often. Eventually the bike seized and I sold it. This year I bought a 2016 Crf450r and plan to race. I have races mapped out for district 16 and I’m very excited. I have 3 kids that I plan to get involved in the sport in the coming years. With that racing is expensive so any sort of support will be greatly appreciated
Riding Goals
My main goals are dialing my bike in and feeling smooth. I would also like to place top 15 every race in open c and14-24 b/c. Next year my goal is to make it to Loretta’s. I can’t exactly tell you why I have always been obsessed with motocross but I am. I might have to do with the family bonding that you get on race weekends or whether it’s the wonderful community that you get to be a part of. Either way I want to bring my kids up in the sport as well. Motocross tells you who you really are as a person and competitor.
Competitive Highlights
I have raced once but have countless hours at tracks. My best finish is overall second in the supermini class.
By next year this list will be longer!
