UPDATE 7/21/23
Promoted to B class after winning the 2023 AMA District 36 Youth Cross Country C65 spring series.
I moved up to a Kawasaki KX85 from my KX65 and will be competing in the B85 class starting September 2023. I started training camps with Maloney Training Facility to improve technique and learn from the pros.

My name is Destry McWilliams and I am 11 years old. I am named after the legendary Hare Scramble and desert racing champion, Destry Abbott. I race Hare Scrambles and will be racing my first Enduro this year. I competed in the 2022 AMA District 36 Youth Cross Country series on my 2021 Honda CRF 110 in the C 4-Stroke 7-11 class. The series was 8 races total where I placed 1st in 6 of them, and 2nd in the other two for an overall win. After winning the series I felt confident to move on to a bigger and faster bike size and class. I now ride a 2022 Kawasaki KX65 and compete in the C 65 7-11 class. This class has triple the amount of competitors averaging about 25 racers. I have stayed in the top 6 of this class since moving up.  Both of my parents and all my siblings ride as well. My mom won her championship in 2022 and my Dad has won many Enduro championships in his riding career and is an A rider. This last year he took time off of racing to focus on mine and keep my bike race ready while also spending hours with me teaching me technique and developing my skills as a rider. My family are my biggest fans. I live in the hills of Hopland on an 8 acre farm with my parents and 3 siblings. This has allowed me to ride every single day right at my own home and get many hours of seat time in. I attend Grace Hudson elementary which is a Dual language immersion school. This means I learn in a foreign language 90% of the time and I am now fluent in Spanish as my second language. Riding and racing has motivated me to succeed in school because as long as my grades are great I can race. Riding dirt bikes is my passion and I want to make it my career.
