Personal History
I am a 36 year old vet rider that loves to race the local tracks in the NW. Now lucky enough to race with my 5 year old little man/side kick!!! I race at Washougal MX the most photographed track in all the Nationals and feel so grateful being able to ride and race on such a prestigious track. Washougal is my main focus for racing due to the turnout of riders, on any given weekend I am on the gate with 18-30 other racers and nothing beats that feeling. I also race at Mt.View MX and Thursday Night Motocross at PIR (Portland International Raceway). I also have a pretty good sized "backyard track" my track is 1/3 of a mile with natural elevation change along with a 75' triple, it is a well maintained practice track to build endurance on. I am stating to get my 5 year old son into racing, which has made rider support that much more important!!! I have a pretty big riding crew and we ride together as much as we can, I am very outspoken when I find a great product and I recommend these items to our group. I would say that I am the go to in the group when anyone is looking for a new or different product. Other then that I enjoy meeting other riders and networking with people with the same passion.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for this upcoming season is to get some top 5's in the 30+ C class. This class is highly competitive and we line up on a regular weekend with 25 or so racers. This last year I finished with some top tens and an overall of 8th in the series which I am happy about. My strength are corner speed and finding smooth lines around the track, this has helped my results being that the last two years I was racing a 2013 ktm 250sxf against mostly 450's. With the purchase of my 2016 KTM 350sxf my goal is to take that extra power and my strength to get me in those top 5 finishes with the main goal of getting on the box.
Competitive Highlights
Finishing top 3 in some Thursday Night Motocross races, cracking the top 10 in 30+C, Taking a moto win in the Open D class at Washougal on a 250.
