Personal History

I have been around motorsports all my life. My father was the owner of a small Polaris, Ski-doo, Artic Cat dealership in the small town of Othello, Wa where i started my infatuation with motorsports. I started riding with my dad on his KTM dirt bike he would set me in front of him and we would ride around our property together. At a very young age i started snomobiling also with my family and enjoyed getting out of town with them. My father would have me do small tasks around the the shop to help him and also teach me a strong work ethic. This allowed me to earn money for my first bike. My father brought home my first bike when i was six years old it was a 1978 Kawasaki KV 75. I remember having to push i over to a small retaining wall in order for me to be able to start it. We also had a Go cart and my father and i would race around the yard but he allways seamed to win. He never told me there was more than one gear on the dirt bike. I caught on very quick though and found it was much harded to turn at faster speeds.  I did not have it very long before it was sold as i ran over my younger brother and several other things around the yard. It wasnt untell i was 14 years old that i had raised enough money to buy a new bike, i raised the money by pulling weeds in an onion feild alll summer long. And headed down to the local Yamaha dealer where i bought a new off the show room floor RT 100. I was very proud of my bike but Quickly grew out of it. The folling summer i countinued working for my father and Purchested a YZ 80 again of the show room floor. now this was a race bike and loved riding every day after school. We had some sand dunes about a mile down the road and tha was my practice grounds as my my parents could not find the time to take me to the local motocross track to practice. I entered my first race in the 80 beg. class as i realised very quickly the if i was going to be competitive i was going to have to start finding rides to the local mx track to practice. Another year went by and another long summer working in the feilds and i Purched a KTM 125sx. I was in high school now and finding rides to go practice started to become a little easyer to come by. I think that if i didnt have to work so hard to be able to have a new bike every couple years that racing would not have been as strong of a desire of mine and am greatfull of the challenges i have over come through the years.

Riding Goals

This year im moving up a class  into the intermediate class and have been training in the off season to make sure im ready when the season starts. In the coming year i am going to compete in the Pasific Racing Organization (PRO) series as i did last year. But with out the macanical problems that put me out of contention of the championship last year. I exspect my self to be a top five competitor. As i am very excited to compete with my new fuel injected bike. The Top Gun series is one that i have not competed in the past but is a series that i am really looking forward to as a lot of fellow riders i practice with compete in this series. The Loretta Lynn Nationals is a series i qualified for last year but was unable to make the regional as bike problems seemed to pleg me with problems last year. I have every intention to make it through the regionals and qualifie for the national this year. These series along with some Local Arenacross / motocrosss races im ready to show how my hard work through out the years well pay off. I am stoked for this season!

Competitive Highlights

One of the most memerable races of my career was when i was 16 years old, i was headed out of town to a Fossil Bowl race in Idaho. I was about half way there when i got a call from one of my friends saying that Zach Lamb one of my good friends from high school had died, he had rolled his truck leaving a friends house that morning and had the heart wrenching decition to make, do i continue heading to the the race or turn around and be with my friends and family. I decided to countinue my journey to idaho and dedicated that race to him, First moto i got the holeshot and took on a commanding lead so much that i was giving the spectators a show by lauching at the top of hourse power hill and landing past the corner and would have to turn around to get back on the track, they loved it i beleive as much as i did. The second moto was a little different story, my friend Zach libert had also entered that race and was not as impressed with me showing off in the first moto beause he was the one in second and could not get close enough to make a pass. so this moto was going to be different. H e was not going to let me gap him, in fact he grabed the hole shot and was not ever letting any pass i made stick. This went on for several laps until about the second to last lap where i made the pass stick and took home the overall win. I was proud to bring home that trophie knowing that the day was dedicated to my friend Zach Lamb.
