Personal History

Declan is a die hard fan of motorcycle racing- his favorite disciplines are Flat Track and Motocross/Supercross. He started riding at the age of 3 and is on the track virtually every day. In 2013, he won the first of 13 national championship at the age of 7. In 2019, he clinched the AMA District 17 250cc championship 3 races before the end of the season. In 2020, he won the 450cc Amateur championship with Xtreem Flattrack and placed 4th and 5th in the Pro Am and Open Am classes. In 2021, he won the Xtreem Flat Track Open Pro and Pro Singles championships and took three 3rd place overalls in the AMA Flat Track Grand Championships in the 450 Production, 250-Open Singles and Open Heavyweight classes. In 2022, he clinched the AMA District 17 450 A and Open Amateur championships with 4 events remaining in the season and placed 2nd overall in the 450 Production class at the AMA Flat Track Grand Championships.

In 2023, Declan turned professional with American Flat Track finishing 17th overall in points and winning the 2023 AFT Rookie of the Year award. For the 2024 season, Declan will be stepping up to the AFT SuperTwins class after signing with the Grumpy Old Men Racing team (GOMR) and will again be competing for Rookie of the Year honors.

In addition to excelling on-track, Declan was equally focused in the classroom as well. He maintained a 3.9 GPA through high school, taking AP classes in Sciences, English and Math and recently graduated with High Honors.

  1. Qualify for every AFT main event
  2. Finish within the Top 10 in overall points for the SuperTwins class
  3. Score my first AFT podium
  4. 400% increase in social media presence

  • AMA Fast Brain award for scholastic excellence, 3.97 GPA

  • 107 races over 40 events, 39 wins and 73 podiums (Average finish of 3.25)
