Personal History
My name is Jaxton Farmer, I graduated high school in 2023 and went straight into the workforce. I spend majority of my free time out in the shop with my dad working on bikes, quads, side by sides, you name it, we work on it. My dad got me into racing when I was little and I haven’t looked back since. In late 2022/ early 2023 me and my dad came up with the idea to start a moto based company called DeathGrip. Our goal was to sponsor and put grips and merchandise on up and coming riders who are riding for a passion and not for money or factory rides. And now as we are heading into 2024, we have a good group of riders who we support that we can call close friends.
when I’m not riding or working in the shop. You can find me with a camera making videos.
Riding Goals
I ride for the enjoyment and thrill of racing. Nothing compares to feeling of rolling up to that start line or the gate and there is loud bikes all around me and they are all getting ready to do the same thing as me, put it all out on the line for that trophy/ plaque. This year I wanted to go back to my roots so I made the switch to racing Quads in a XC series. I had little to no experience on a quad in the woods but I quickly grasped the ropes and pulled myself to the top of the pack in my class. At round 9 of the OCCRA 2024 series, my life would change drastically. As I made my way around the track, I eventually come up to a split between the pro line and amateur line. The pro line seemed like a much faster route considering it cut off almost a mile out of the track. I decided to take the pro line. As I started making my way through it and scoping out the lines. I saw that track wasn’t finished being marked. Wanting to make it through a whole lap in practice and learn the track, I ask the track workers where the track goes from there. They pointed me in the direction and off I went. I ended up coming up to a ravine too fast and couldn’t stop in time causing me to fall in and get crushed my quad. I broke my back, some ribs, and popped a lung. Thankfully a good group and the medics were able to get me out of there and get me to a hospital. I have recovered a lot since then and I’m slowly starting to ride again. This year I plan to race quads and bikes. Mainly in XC as-well as racing some MX as well. I want to get my name put on a map and spread DeathGrip as much as possible. I have already started filming made some sweet edits. I post all my edits on our DeathGrip_co Facebook page aswell as our YouTube channel DeathGrip
Competitive Highlights
I have won a good amount of races growing up but I never a a full season, it was usually all for fun. In 2022 I decided to race my first season and I ended up racing XC for the first time. I fell in love with the sport of XC racing. I ended the season wrapping up the championship in 1st in beginner class. In 2023 I was on a new bike and ready to chase the amateur championship but my season was cut short due to an incident outside of racing. In 2024, I made to switch to quads and had a good run all the way up until I broke my back resulting in a 7th place finish to end the season. For 2025, I’m looking to pick up sponsors and race the 2025 XC series in Oklahoma on both bikes and quads and the goal is 1st place finishes in both classes.
