Personal History
i started riding Quads when i was 3, just for leisure. i started racing quads when i turned 8 years old. in my first full season of competitive racing i finished instide of the top 10 in the Ulster Championship. from then on i have went on to finish runner up in the Irish Championship twice in 2008 and 2009 and win numerous rounds of the British Championship in 2009 and went on to finish 2nd overall in the British Championship in 2010 while taking a few race wins. this was in the youth categories then in 2011 i waited half the year until i turned 16 in May to move onto the 450 in the adult rank. i started out in the C's winning pretty much every race. As i missed a good portion of the season even with getting the majority of the race wins I was only able to finish 5th in the overall standings that year. in December 2011 I injured my wrist outside of MX and had to get an operation on it, i got out of cast and by the following weekend i was competing in the first round of the Irish Championship. In 2012 i had been promoted straight into the Premier class. due to my over hanging injury it took me a while to get my fitness levels up to a standard i was happy with along with my riding. I finished 5th overall on the day of the first round of the Irish Championship but i was struggling. From then on i was consistantly inside the top 5 in all three championships i was doing that year, the Irish, Ulster and British U21 championships. Late in the season i was starting to get more consistantly in the top 3, and in the penultimate round of the British Championship i won the U21 British Championship and was 2nd in the main British Championship. Unfortunatly a week and a half later i was involved in a car accident and broke several ribs along with my sternum. This took me out of the rest of the Championships.
Riding Goals
This off season i have been training hard, have had no injuries and i am hoping to be inside the top 3 in the Ulster and Irish Championships. Unfortunatly with my still being a student and from Northern Ireland with no full time job and the cost of the ferry to travel to all the British Championship rounds is just too much for me riding as a privateer and can not afford to compete in the British Championship in 2013.
Competitive Highlights
finishing 1st overall in the Premier Irish Championship in 2013 and 3rd overall in the Premier Ulster Championship. I have also been selected to ride for team Ireland at the Quadcross of European Nations in italy
