Personal History
My name is Dawson Schoolman and I live in Wellsburg, Iowa. I am a 6th grader at AGWSR Middle School. I started riding dirt bikes in 2020 when my dad bought me a Honda CR50 to ride around our yard. I quickly realized that dirt bikes and racing were my passion and I got my first race bike, a 2017 KTM 65SX in 2021. I have been racing competetively across the Midwest since then. I currently race in the 65cc (10-11) and 65cc (7-11) classes on my 2022 KTM 65SX and in the 85cc (10-12) class on my 2023 KTM 85SX. When I'm not on the bike practicing or racing, I enjoy fishing and camping.
Riding Goals
I race motocrocross because it's what I love. I've tried playing football, basketball, and baseball but I always find myself wanting to be on a dirt bike riding or racing. Motocross racing has taught me so much about dedication and commitment. It has also taught me how to compete with respect for the sport and my fellow riders, how to win with class, and lose with dignity. My ultimate goal is to work through the ranks of amateur motocross and someday race under the lights of a professional main event. My short term goals are to keep improving as a rider and get involved in as many races as I can.
