Personal History
Davis Edwards III is my 3 year old son who loves to ride MX. He developed this love from his grandpaw (Mike Elshout), which is my father-n-law who owns a bike shop in Minden, Louisiana and still races every weekend in several local racing circuits. Davis has been riding for over 2 years. He started out with 2 Honda 50's with training wheels. He learned to ride without training wheels about 6 months ago and now rides a Kawasaki KDX 50 that the frame was lowered so that he could touch the ground on. Once he grows alittle taller he will ride his KTM 50. Davis has been going to MX races since he was 6 months old and has developed alot of relationships with fellow riders. All of the families and riders at the races are excited to watch Davis race debut on August 16th in Tyler Texas. We have built Davis a small practice track in the back part of our property which he uses daily for hours to practice riding.
Riding Goals
Davis riding goals are to gain as much experience this year and becoming competitive in the series. The division he is in for ages 4-6, but the league is allowing him to race at 3 since he can ride good and is almost 4. Davis hopes to win a holeshot award this year and atleast 1 podium before the series is over for the season.
Competitive Highlights
Davis has not raced in a competitive race yet, but he will make his race debut on August 16th in Tyler Texas. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to fill this box up with several Highlights.
For now, I would say his highlight would be learning to ride his Kawasaki KDX 50 without training wheels.
