Personal History

Unlike most riders out there, I didn’t grow up riding dirt bikes. In fact, I had never ridden a motorcycle until I was 18. Growing up, playing the standard montage of ball sports, I have always been successfully competitive in everything I do.

When I was 21, I decided to pick up the hobby of dirt biking. For a few years, I rode for fun with friends locally. Having never ridden a dirt bike as a kid, the learning curve for me was pretty hard. I loved the challenge of riding with people better than me, pushing myself to keep up with a faster rider. After a few years, I felt a lack of true competition in my life.

In the fall of 2017, I began training for the 2018 NMA off-road season. I pushed myself physically and dropped my weight to 220lbs. I felt good and was riding the best I had ever been. My inaugural season was cut short in May of 2018, from a broken foot at the practice track. Half way through the 2019 season, 4th in points, my season was cut short due to a bone infection.

Riding Goals

My goal is to get my competitive strength and conditioning back for the 2020 season. It will be my first year in the Vet C class.

As a rider, I enjoy being loyal to brands that produce good quality products. I’ve been loyal to Yamaha since my first street bike. I stay loyal because they make high quality products and lead innovation on 2 wheels. I look to support brands that do the same.
