Personal History
Hello. My name is David Savoie and I live in Bourbonnais, IL. I will be 55 in February and plan on racing in several different series and classes this coming year 2014. I’m going to attempt to participate in the following 3 series: 2014 AMA Vintage National Championship Super Senior 55+ A riding a 1977 Maico 250, District 17 55+ on a Honda CRF 450 & Racer X Senior Championship Series 55+ A on a Honda CRF 450. After a long layoff from my youth racing days, I returned in 2005. I’ve attained 3 track Championships, 2005, 2006 and 2007 at LTM in Casey, IL. In those same years I finished 6th, 4th and 4th in the State of Illinois. In 2010 I underwent two knee surgeries and though it was a long, hard battle, I have gotten back to full strength and will be ready to go in 2014. In the past years I’ve been fortunate to have many fine sponsors such as Amsoil, Answer Racing, DeCal Works, Dunlop, Gaerne, Pro Works Racing, Renthal, TekBolt, Twin Air, Redbull, Steel MX and EVS. As I approach the 2014 I’m asking you for sponsorship of any form to help me attain the goals of winning in these series. My commitment I’ve always made to my sponsors and the one I’ll make to you is simple, I take care of my equipment, clothing, and carry their colors with pride. I maintain and present them in a professional manner at all times. I’m still a firm believer that word of mouth sells products. Most conversations I have at tracks are about equipment, quality of products, clothing, oils, tires etc. I believe the way you present yourself and your equipment is still one of the best marketing tools available to the motocross industry. With that knowledge, I commit to you a guarantee that people will hear and see your names coming from my trailer. So again, thanks to the sponsors I’ve had in the past and hello to 2014.
