Personal History
My name is Dave Nguyen and I am a Southern California native who has recently fallen in love with all things related to two wheels. I threw my leg over a bike for the first time in June 2011, during a MSF course. Shortly after, I purchased a Ninja 250 to begin my riding career.
After attending SocalSupermoto's class in the summer of 2012, I decided that supermoto is where it is at! I bought a DRZ400SM and started terrorizing the streets and local kart tracks. By the beginning of 2013, I decided that I was going to race supermoto. This was also when I started taking the sport more seriously, cross-training with motocross and attending other schools like the Rich Oliver Mystery School.
I dealt with multiple injuries during the 2013 season, only completing half of the Super TT American Race Series (STTARS) which features supermoto racing. My plan is to continue progressing through this regional series, and attending a few of the AMA supermoto national events.
Riding Goals
For 2014, my goal is to take home a championship plate in the Novice class with the STTARS supermoto race series. http://www.supertt.com/
I am also attending various WAR supermoto races when the schedule allows. http://www.warsupermoto.com/
