Personal History
While I have been involved with riding my entire life, I have been at the "obsessed" level the past 10-12 years. When my son was 7 and my step-daughter was 6, we decided to jump into off-road racing in a big way. We have been racing the Texas off-road circuit for the past 10+ years and compete in all of the North Texas regional series events - Texas Off Road Nationals (TORN), Texas Cross Country Racing Assoc. (TCCRA) and Texas Offroad Organization (TORO).
I have continued to improve over the past 10 years and have been competing at the Expert level now the past 2 years. I have won one state championship and have come very close many other years. As of today, my wife (Tammi Needham) competes in these same Texas Series at the Over 30 Womens Expert level and my step-daughter competes in the Texas Series in the Ladies Expert/Pro level and nationally in the GNCC Ladies Pro Class (Allie Spurgeon).
We are truly a Racing Family and spend every possible moment in all things racing - including moving to a 20 acre ranch about 5 years ago and having a small moto-x and off-road turn track built on the back 8 acres. We live and breath racing and spend an amazing amount of resources on this love.
Riding Goals
To continue to build on my skills and finish this year on the Podium in the TORN state championship. I am currently tied for third place in the Series points race with two races to go. I will also be competing in the TORO series beginning in one month here in Texas and am looking to finish on the Podium in the overall points championship.
I am looking to be involved in texas Off-Road racing and continue to complete at this level until I'm 60! I would love to win the 60+ class in both TORN and TORO here in Texas.
I want to continue to mentor my step-daughter as she progresses down her career in racing. She has moved into the top 10 at GNCC Ladies Pro and I'm proud to have helped her get there.
