Rider Updates

I just started my last semester of school and I am a week away from having my race bike together. I have noticed in other people the tendency to lie about how they really feel about things so I plan on putting down how I truly feel. I would like to use this to help myself get back where I want to be. At the moment I feel as if I am behind on getting things done. I feel that the root cause is that I have let my mind be in auto pilot. Since school started I have done my homework and physically done my best at work. The difference between that time and on my break is that motocross was on my mind all day and I am no longer focusing my energy as hard. I have missed workouts and have been more relaxed in my choices of food. I do not ever eat fast food but I feel that i can do better. Basically I am going to use this as a way to look back and write about my attempts to stay on track, improving myself physically, and most importantly mentally for this season.

Now that I can at least do most of the workouts with both arms I started a program this week. My plan is to do cardio three times a week, strength training twice a week and ride at least twice until it starts to snow. So far this week I started with 30 minutes on the bicycle and various body weight and dumbbeel exercise for my upper body, legs, and abs. I plan on intensifying the workouts but right now I'm getting into a routine where I'm eating right, exercising everyday and sleeping good. The next three days will be really good for me. I plan on riding tomorrow at Plaistow, racing Saturday at Jolly Roger and doing the open practice at Jolly on Sunday. My plan is to cruise at a good speed but if I feel comfortable I'll go for the win. I really can't explain how motivated I am now

I finally felt strong enough to get on the bike so I went to Plaistow on Sunday to ride. At first I felt a bit timid but after a few laps i loosened up. I'm not strong enough to string 10 laps together but I would ride half the track slow then put together five corners at a good pace. In total I rode about 25 laps and I was seriously sore afterwards. At the moment I'm getting my trianing program toegether so I'm excited about that. I start school tomorrow and theres a gym there so that will be where I weight train. I plan on using this daily to keep me motivated and track my progress so heres my first post.
